We are thrilled to announce our new Work Place Giving program, which is an easy and affordable way to help the Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania.
Simply complete the form attached and give it to your Payroll Officer for processing. Your chosen donation will be deducted from your gross salary each pay and distributed to the Dogs’ Homes. You gain an immediate tax benefit for donations over $2 so no need to wait for receipts or wait for the end of the year to claim the tax benefit.
If 20 employees donate $5 per week each for a year ($5200), it would cover the cost of 10 dogs being cared for whilst they await their forever homes, including medical costs, food, shelter, grooming and exercise. As we care for and rehome over 4000 lost, stray or abandoned dogs per year, your donation along with your work colleagues will collectively make a huge difference in providing for the needs of our dogs. Work Place Giving is a tremendous way to encourage community support within your organisation. The benefits have been shown to increase team morale (feel good component), encourage team work and add value to your brand. Many organisations encourage Work Place Giving by matching employee contributions. The Dogs’ Homes of Tasmania can work with your organisation to offer team building days at one of our Dogs’ Homes or by bringing an ‘adopt me’ pooch in to your work place to provide a real life experience for how your support is helping care for our dogs.
